What do you know?

When civilians attempt to tell people in the military what the military is/is not doing, did/did not do, or will/will not do, here’s what people in the military think:

You do not know what you do not know.

More precisely:

You don’t know what you don’t know because you don’t know, whereas we know that you don’t know what you don’t know because we do know.

In other words, your ignorance is not giving you an edge.
