What is, exactly, the real problem with Demoncraps?
Senator Rick Scott (FL) proposed an amendment, today. The second I read the headlines, I thought, “two-thirds vote to impeach, three-quarters vote to convict.”
Let’s see what the article says…
“Three-fifths majority to impeach.” No mention of the conviction requirement, so I assume it would remain two-thirds? Let’s examine Senator Scott’s statement itself:
Hmm… I’m not so sure his proposal work, for no other reason that it attempts to curb unethical activity with a hurdle similar to the one already in place, one which the unethical entities throughout the Demoncrap party have repeatedly exercised.
Here’s my input: Our Founding Fathers did indeed warn us that impeachment could be used as a partisan tool by partisan actors. However, that’s WHY they set the second hurdle a good bit higher: “…no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the (Senate) Members present,” along with the restriction (which the Demoncraps SEVERELY violated with their “impeachment managers”) that “The House of Representatives shall have the sole Power of Impeachment” and “The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments.” – Article I Sections 2 and 3, U.S. Constitution
They did not want to make it difficult to impeach. In fact, in order to hold both the President and others accountable, they wanted to make it relatively easy to impeach them. But they also raised a high bar on conviction. That’s the litmus test of whether or not a President or other impeachable official has done wrong of such great magnitude that it’s worth it to the nation to remove them from office.
Given the penchant of the Demoncraps towards lying, cheating and stealing their way into power, however, I support Senator Scott’s increase to three-fifths. It’s an increase of just 10%, from 50% to 60%. That’s not that much higher than it is now.
One thing to remember, however, is that both the House and the Senate have exceeded 60% membership of both parties numerous times over the last 150 years.
In more recent times, however, neither party has held more than 60%. In fact, not since 1991-1993 in the House, not since 1975-1977 in the Senate.
The issue as I see it, however, isn’t the proportion required for impeachment, but rather, the proclivity of Demoncraps to abuse it as a means of vengeance. Republicans certainly could have impeached Obama during the 8 years between 2011 and 2019, but we chose not to, even though we had a majority in the Senate as well, from 2015-2017.
We chose not to do so because we knew that it would have died in the Senate. It would have failed to reach the two-thirds vote required to convict. It’s called integrity. We had the integrity to refuse dragging our nation through the mud as the Demoncraps just did. We had the integrity to stand by the will of the People, even though we didn’t agree with their choice.
Apparently, neither Pelosi nor the Demoncraps have much integrity. Seriously, people — What the heck was Nancy Pelosi thinking?
The point is, she wasn’t thinking at all.
First, she’s a Demoncrap. That’s two strikes against her right there, but we’ll let one strike slide, for now.
Second, she said, “go for it” even though Republicans hold the majority in the Senate, knowing full well there was no chance in hell of obtaining the two-thirds majority required for a conviction, and that she was only doing it out of spite and personal vengeance against President Trump for proving her wrong on so many occasions, for making her look like an ass on so many occasions, and for denying her government transportation in January of 2019 to her little beer-tasting party in Belgium and “to visit the troops” in Afghanistan. I’ve little doubt she and her entourage would have cancelled the second half of the trip would for one reason or another.
Strike three, just for being so stupid. Or gullible. Perhaps she actually believes the Demoncrap, well, crap. Judging by the number of shaking Demoncrap heads during the President’s 2020 State of the Union Address, while President Trump repeated one fact (verified as fact by multiple independence researchers) after another, it’s clear a large percentage of Demoncraps, certainly a majority, believe most of their own lies, as well, despite resounding evidence to the contrary.
Thus we arrive at the REAL problem: The Demoncrap party, a party of lying, cheating and stealing, has so skillfully hood-winked Americans for so long that most members of the party, including members of Congress, believe their own lies, as well. To them, their only truth is their agenda. If something doesn’t agree with their agenda, it can’t possibly be true. Their agenda has become their Bible, and their partisan politics has become their religion.
Put simply, they are not only guilty of employing “whatever means are necessary” to achieve their reality-bereft agenda, they have grown increasingly fond of breaking laws and violating the rights of all Americans to get there. They are walking, talking, living and breathing examples of Confirmation bias, Negative bias, Bandwagon effect, Illusory correlation, Overconfidence effect, and the Dunning-Kruger effect.
Another problem is they’re also affected by the “bias blind spot,” which is the tendency not to recognize their own bias. That, too, is a bias.
There’s only one way to deal with such entrenched departure from reality: VOTE THEM THE HELL OUT OF THERE!
Only then can America shrug off the Demoncrap chains and finish her struggle back to excellence.
