As have all governors since 1787, Governor Polis (CO) has significant authority to redirect and limit the activities of citizens in times of crisis. He DOES NOT, however, have any authority to override, refuse, deny or even infringe upon the basic the rights and freedoms recognized in and protected by the Constitution for the United States of America.
For most people, the right to work is equivalent to the right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness, and as our Ninth Amendment to the Constitution clearly states, “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.” The right to work does NOT have to specifically listed in the Constitution in order to be both fully recognized and fully protected by the Constitution.
Then there’s our State Constitution, which was also rather severely violated (see this link).
I’m wondering when people are going to WAKE UP and realize Governor Polis is neither what the State of Colorado either needs or wants. While you’re at it, Colorado, vote out all the complicit Democrats in the Colorado General Assembly.
As for citizens of all other states, by far the best way to STOP the highly illegal shutdown/stay-at-home orders, the gross violation of your Constitutional rights and freedoms, and the erosion of all that is good about America, is to GET RID OF THE DEMOCRATS.
Democrats are the slavery party. In 1860 it was physical slavery. Today it is economic slavery, keeping large classes of people oppressed while they live high on the hog off the taxes of the masses.
Democrats are the Confederate party. They were the ones who began the Civil War, largely in an attempt to maintain the institution of slavery.
Democrats shot Martin Luther King, Jr., a man who needs no introduction. James Earl Ray’s “chief interest … was the George Wallace presidential campaign. Ray harbored a strong prejudice against African Americans and was quickly drawn to Wallace’s segregationist platform. He spent much of his time in Los Angeles volunteering at the Wallace campaign headquarters in North Hollywood.” George Wallace was a Democrat. James Earl Ray was a Democrat.
Martin Luther King, Jr., however, the civil rights activist who helped eradicate many of the barriers remaining before blacks, was a Republican.
No matter how you slice it, you always wind up with Democrats and their unlawful, anti-Constitutional agenda being at the root of the problems currently befalling America.
