The current global warming aka climate change is more properly known as an Interglacial Period. It’s the fifth such interglacial period over the last 420,000 years, and in another 60 to 120 thousand years, we’ll have another.
Mankind didn’t cause the last four interglacial periods, which were nearly identical in terms of rises in temperature, CO2 and CH4 (methane) as our current interglacial period, and we didn’t cause this one, either. In fact, the energies involved in churning the glacial period cycles are so massive, the result of Earth’s internal core workings as well as wobble in its tilt and perturbations in its orbit, and possibly space weather, they vastly exceed all of mankind’s energy outputs to date, meaning nothing we do will ever have any measurable impact. NOR SHOULD WE TRY.
Mankind’s energies — time, money, attention and focus — are best spent being good stewards of the world around us. Live simply, enjoy life, and don’t pollute the air, land and waters on God’s good, green Earth.
If you believe the false narrative of anthropogenic climate change/global warming, you’ve been LIED to. Since you’re repeating those lies despite much evidence sent to you and many opportunities to study reality, you are no longer an unwilling victim of the lies. You have willingly become a source of the lies themselves. YOU ARE A LIAR, Senator.
Here’s the TRUTH which you have repeatedly and vehemently REFUSED to acknowledge:
Glacial and interglacial periods are normal, cyclical Earth cycles whose energies are many orders of magnitude beyond what mankind is capable of accomplishing. It would require several orders of magnitude less time, money, and energy to grind the Rocky Mountains down to sea level.
REALITY (from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration):
“According to NOAA’s 2020 Annual Climate Report the combined land and ocean temperature has increased at an average rate of 0.13 degrees Fahrenheit ( 0.08 degrees Celsius) per decade since 1880.”
Do the math. That’s 1.82 deg F, total.
Then, they add: “the average rate of increase since 1981 (0.18°C / 0.32°F) has been more than twice that rate.”
Thus, while the rate of change has increased, the total change over the last 140 years remains just 1.82 deg F.
That’s not much at all!
Think about it: Including today, the 10-day forecast for Colorado Springs averaged out to a high of 83.00 degrees and a low of 56.50 degrees, for a mean swing of 26.5 degrees.
That’s 14.56 times greater than the mean temperature rise over the last 140 years.
Then there’s the seasonal swings, ranging from an Average High of 86.5 deg F in July to an Average Low of 18.5 deg F in January. That’s a 68 degree swing, more than 37 times greater swing in temperature than the 1.82 rise over more than a century.
Yes, climate change is real. HOWEVER, given the OTHER FOUR interglacial periods over the last 420,000 years — we are nearing the peak of the FIFTH interglacial period in the last half million years — it’s NOT ANY sort of cause for alarm. It’s a very normal, very natural, and very NON-anthropogenic planetary phenomenon.
Below are two graphs, the bottom one flipped left to right to properly align it with the left (older) and right (younger) timeline of the first. The time scales have been matched, as well.
The graphs depict mean worldwide temperatures and levels of CO2 (carbon dioxide), CH4 (methane), and dust over the last 420,000 years.
As you can see, there are five interglacial peaks, beginning around 420,000 years ago, then 330 kya, 240 kya, 130 kya and today.
While weather is far more chaotic, the far longer climate cycles are driven by harmonics between a variety of forces, including ocean currents, Earth wobble due to precession and nutation, variations in Earth’s orbit, and internal flows of Earth’s liquid core.
The periods are separated by 90,000 years between the first three, and 120,000 years between the last two. 90 is 75% of 120, and 120 is a third larger than 90. This is important given the rather harmonical nature of a great many processes throughout the universe from scales very small to very large. Harmonics, for example, produce vocals, whistles, the wind-driven destruction of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, and are also used to optimize a great many industrial processes, including tuned exhausts for both dragsters and general aviation piston aircraft, which typically have two tuning points, one for full throttle climbs and the other for “65% cruise,” which is very close to the two-thirds point of 66.667% of full RPM. With proper tuning one can achieve max power in climbs and maximum fuel economy at cruise.
Again, THINK: Prior to the year 1,800, the human population has always been less than 10% of what it is today, and prior to Year 1, it’s been less than 3%.
Do you REALLY think mankind caused the other four interglacial periods over the last 420,000 years?
If not, then by what reason of insanity did you jump to the grossly illogical conclusion that we’re somehow responsible for the current one, particularly when all five interglacial periods have been marked by nearly identical profiles of temperature rise, CO2 rise, CH4 rise, ice melt and sea level rise, and deglaciation?
Yes, Senator: Glaciers have come and gone five times over the last half million years, just as seas have risen and fallen, along with levels of CO2 and methane, all entirely without being either caused by or exacerbated by humanity. If you were to listen to government-funded climate scientists, they’ll have you believe the sky is falling, it’s all our fault, and only they can fix it if you just give them more of our hard-earned tax dollars.
Wake up and GROW A BRAIN, Senator. It’s the SAME THING, five times in a row. We weren’t responsible for the last four interglacials, and we’re certainly not responsible for the current one.
To think that we can somehow fix it, particularly when it’s not even broken, is either the height of arrogance or the height of stupidity. All of mankind’s landfills wouldn’t cover a single pixel on a Full HD picture of a world map. If you think you’re going to divert ocean currents the size of entire continents, molten core fluids the mass of the Moon, and correct Earth’s natural wobble and orbital perturbations, well, good golly, Senator, I don’t know whether to hand you a potato or just shake the dust from my sandals. If you weren’t in charge of spending my money, I’d definitely do the latter. I might even plant a sign on the edge of town to warn others.
As it is, you have been granted access to various governmental processes, hence my effort herein to break through the grossly unscientific (but very good con) B.S., and get through to you.
If you’re simply ignorant (many Americans are), then it’s high time you begin with the resources given above, crawl out from beneath the anthropogenic global warming/climate change brainwashing, and help put a STOP to one of the greatest scams ever to have befallen mankind.
On the other hand, if you’re knowingly participating in the con, then I sincerely hope both you and your entire staff find yourselves in prison for a very long time — decades — for stealing billions of American taxpayer dollars to feed this FRAUD.
