There are dozens of websites out there offering absolutely objective oversight given the fact that they apparently hate everyone. Again, you’re going to have to sift through the chaff and the wheat, but at least with these websites, you HAVE chaff through which you can sift, unlike through mudstream media’s usual “slant the hell out of it” news stream.
The problem with Demoncraps is that they base their advocacy on idealism rather than realism.
Because pure realism never attempts to achieve an idealistic perfection, it instead approaches the optimal solution, one limited by the reality of human nature and limited economic resources.
Pure idealism, on the other hand, assumes unrealistic expectations about human nature while always believing “if we only spend more we can achieve X.” As idealism ignores reality, it misses the mark. It is sub-optimal. Where idealism greatly ignores reality, the consequences can be disastrous. Recent examples include spending our nation into massive, untenable debt on the idealistic believe that unbridled economic stimulus plans “will work if we can only spend enough.”
The idea of a gun-free society is idealistic fantasy. It is nonsense but not because it’s not achievable. Several societies have achieved it by depriving their citizens of firearms, always with disastrous consequences, including greatly increased incidents of violent crime using knives, sticks, bats, clubs, and even bare fists.
The problem with this Demoncrap ideal is that like all idealism, it is off-target. The correct focus should be on violence itself, not merely one method used by man to inflict violence on another. Once the focus is shifted, we see that in modern societies where people have ample opportunity to work above a living wage, violence drops below 5%, meaning 95% of the general population resorts to violence to get what they want or think they need. The result is a general populace where law-abiding citizens outnumber the bad guys by 20 to 1.
In such an environment, should even one-tenth of that population be armed, the good guys will still outnumber the bad guys 2 to 1. In reality, we find that half are armed at home (a 10 to 1 advantage) while one in ten are armed in public (a 2 to 1 advantage).
This is what keeps violent crime here in the U.S. to a level that’s one-third the violent crime rate in the United Kingdom, which created a serious three-fold increase when they confiscated privately owned firearms.
