It was a distinct honor, as well as my pleasure, to serve my country for more than twenty years. I love my country, but sometimes I'm not too happy with its leaders. I'm working to change that, and I could use your help. Please join me! Thanks. : ) - Patriot

    1. Shane, I’m thankful for your interest. You’re right about it involving a lot of work. From one perspective, I’ve spent more than fifty years working towards the quality of this content. On a much more limited scope, however, I still take several hours of direct research per article, and what’s not seen are the hundreds, if not thousands of hours of time spent learning about the various issues, from as many angles as possible.

In the end, it’s all about the approach. Humanity has the annoying tendency of picking a position, then selectively embracing those facts which support their position while ignoring those which do not. I, on the other hand, like to gather the facts endlessly, until such time as the facts themselves clearly dictate the position upon which I should stand. Not only do I find it foolish to take any other position than the one dictated by the facts, but I find refusing to reevaluate one’s position in the light of new facts to be equally foolish.
